In 2010, I got the opportunity to travel for work to Congo (both DRC-Kinshasa and Brazzaville). Photographic opportunities were limited, people often suspicious and the climate was, on the whole, relatively unsafe (especially in DRC, torn by years of civil war). At one point I was briefly detained at a security post, at another time a group of corrupt policemen tried to force me into their car, and so on – but here are some pics I got out of this trip.
