USA – USA Road Trip America – OOAmerica

Ever wished you could quit that day job, leave it all behind and hit the road?

Ever wondered what it would be like to buy a clunker, sleep in it, live in it, while discovering a country, a continent and its people?

Welcome to ooAmerica, a website hosting multimedia content produced during ooa revo’s USA Road Trip including videos, photos, writing, artwork and more.

The main film / documentary project will feature interviews of the very different people I’ve met along the way, with one common question: “What’s your philosophy in life?”

Watch the movie trailer below:

USA Road Trip Map and Itinerary

The aims are, on paper, relatively simple: promote open exchange of ideas between people of all tides, as well as tolerance and peaceful thinking.

I left in April from New York to California, and returned back East in September – sleeping over 100 nights in the car and going through about 33 states (over 15,000 miles solo).

I left again the next year from March through May, with a friend this time, in order to visit the states not yet seen, meet new people and get more pictures and footage (24 states and 9,000 miles).

Another project is a series of large photos, in an attempt to capture the diversity, beauty and deep feeling of the United States as a whole: its country, scenery, culture, and folklore. In one word: its pulp.

Readers and friends are welcome to contribute in any way. Thanks for your support!

I hope to eventually post more about the photographic approach, and, more generally speaking, the approach to this journey.

I just read your ‘review’ from E-WOT and quite agree. It’s wonderfully done and very enjoyable. I’d like to thank you for visiting my site and choosing to follow, though I cannot imagine what could possible hold your attention having seen the incredible talent displayed here. However, at the least, it gives me another window through which to view the world and that is always appreciated. Continued success and safe travels.

[…] oo rev’s LifeArt is a wonderful example of how you put together a blog and then link it to your other sites on the internet so that you offer a full and rich media experience for people. This person obviously has talent and the blog focuses on the exploration and showcasing of their art skills. From the blog you can then go to ooAmerica and follow the road trip. The author of these sites integrates art, written posts, videos and images to create an environment which educates and informs. It is very 2012 and an excellent example of how you can take content and drive it through the internet and create some really good meaning for others. It is a comprehensive use of talents and skills. It uses both visual and linguistic literacy skills which encompass so many of our curriculum areas. Showing this to students would enable them to see just how much is possible and how our world is changing for the better in its communication strategies . The author then directs you to links to Facebook and Twitter to complete your experience but it also ensures them a wide and varied audience. This in turn makes sure the author gets some good feedback to grow on. I love the educational possibilities of this approach.
