If you are planning a trip to the Philippines and wonder about where to go and places to visit in the Philippines, this article shows our Philippines itinerary during the two weeks and a half spent in the country, as well as other travel itineraries for one week or three weeks in the Philippines, below the map:
Philippines Itinerary Two Weeks (1, 2 or 3 weeks)
Each city post holds information on where to go, how to get there, where to stay and how much it costs, click on the city name to find out more about things to do and places to visit in the Philippines.
Manila (capital), Luzon
– three days, in a nutshell: Intramuros, Chinatown, Quiapo Church and riding jeepneys.
Banaue Rice Terraces and Batad, Luzon
One day and one night, in a nutshell: Hike the Banaue Rice Terraces. Be sure to also hike the Batad Rice Terraces, below.
Sagada, Luzon
Half day and overnight, in a nutshell: Hanging Coffins and Sagada Caves.
Baguio, Luzon
One day and one night, in a nutshell: Our Lady of Atonement Church (Baguio Cathedral) visited during Holy Week and a hotel with bugs.
El Nido, Palawan
One week in El Nido, Palawan, in a nutshell: Beach, snorkeling, island hopping, eating seafood and relax. Lots of relaxing.
Puerto Princesa, Palawan
One day and one night, in a nutshell: Iwahig Prison and Crocodile Farm.
If you’re looking for a one week Philippines itinerary, we probably could have spent less time in Manila and more time in Sagada to visit the famous caves and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The Batad and Banaue Rice Terraces and El Nido were the highlights of our trip. We will most likely go back there one of these days.
Or for islands and beach destinations, we considered Boracay as a beach destination but did not want to be surrounded by tourists, El Nido was the perfect gem (go there fast, before it becomes Boracay).
If you plan to spend three weeks in the Philippines, you could follow our Philippines itinerary and add Boracay or another island. Another place we wanted to visit was Bohol and its chocolate hills, but we did not get to this time.
